Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, our representative will meet you at the airport and assist you with your check-in process at the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

In the morning your sightseeing tour of Delhi will start. Your first destination will be Raj Ghat (the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi), Shanti Vana (the cremation site of Jawaharlal Nehru), and Jama Masjid. After witnessing the Jama Masjid we will drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk.

After enjoying a delicious lunch we will reach our next destination, Qutub Minar. This was built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199 as a victory tower. We will also visit Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch), and Lakshmi Narayan Temple (a modern Hindu Temple).

You will also get the chance to witness the grand President’s House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings, and Connaught Place shopping center. After this hectic and enjoyable day, you can rest at your hotel overnight.

Day 03: Delhi - Agra (3 - 4 hr / 221.7 km)

After breakfast, we will drive to Agra. We will explore the tomb of Akbar, Sikandra. After that, we will check in at the hotel where you can rest for a while. Later we will visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also witness the Pearl Mosque, Diwan-e-am (the hall of public audience), and Diwan-e-Khas (the hall of private audience). You can also explore the local markets, street food, and other places and take a rest for the night. 

Day 04: Agra - Jaipur (4 - 5 hr / 238.2 km )

On the 4th day of your Golden Triangle Tour with Amritsar, we will go for a sunrise Taj Mahal tour. During the sunrise, the beauty of the Taj Mahal intensifies to another level leaving all the visitors awestruck. The Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan constructed it as a memorial to his late wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this beautiful facade, which is composed of white marble, took 22 years. 

After that, you can enjoy your breakfast, and we will leave for Jaipur. On our way to Jaipur, we will also explore the forgotten town built by Akbar. This town is known as Fatehpur Sikri. It was built between 1571 and 1585. 

Despite being in ruins, the city is still a must-see location. It is a sight to behold, the sunset over this fort’s ruins. Once you get to Jaipur, check into the hotel and spend the night at the hotel.

Day 05: Jaipur

Your first destination will be Amber Fort. The fort is made of marble and sandstones. You can explore the mirror place (Hall of Victory), and witness the advanced technology used at that time, and the incredible architecture of the fort. While coming back from the fort, you will also see the Jal Mahal almost submerged in the Man Lake. You will further visit the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar. We will rest back in the hotel, or if you like you can explore the colorful markets and have a vibrant shopping experience. 

Day 06: Jaipur - Delhi - Amritsar (by train)

After enjoying a delicious breakfast we will drive you back to Delhi. Upon your arrival, the chauffeur will take you to the railway station. You will have to board a train to Amritsar. Once you reach Amritsar, another driver will come and take you to stay at the lavish abode overnight.

Day 07: Amritsar

After you have a Punjabi-style breakfast, we will visit the Golden Temple. It is the most significant Sikh shrine also known as Mecca to the Sikhs, and it is a living representation of their spiritual and historical traditions. Next, go to Jallianwala Bagh, where hundreds of civilians were killed on April 13, 1919, when British and Gurkha soldiers opened fire on an unarmed gathering that was forbidden. 

We will travel to Wagah, an army outpost 30 km from Amritsar on the Indo-Pak border, in the evening to witness the Flag Retreat event. The evening “Beating the Retreat” event is the daily highlight of Wagah. During the ritual, troops from both nations march in unison, practicing the process of lowering their respective national flags. Day 08: Amritsar - Delhi Drop
